Churi
Traditionally known as “Churi”, they are made in glass, metal, lakh/lac, plastic, enamel, silver, gold and more. The importance of glass bangles dates back to when gold was the precious metal worn by the kings and prosperous people. Glass, which was cheap and abundant, was for the common people. Thus making it the most popular material used to make bangles. Today glass bangles are popular for their variety of colors. Although a riot of colors are also found in Lakh/Lac and metal bangles.
